The story "Il 10 June 1918 by Antonio Delfini" interpreted in a contemporary key by twelve young artists from Emilia-Romagna (Laura Selvaggio, Aurelio Pennica, Micol Muratori, Thomas Pondrelli, Mia Mauro, Chiara Zamboni, Filippo Perelli, Ilaria Defano, Miriam Calzolari, Mattia Setti, Francesco Mostallino, Andrea Cacucciolo) called to participate in a writing and drawing workshop (Costellazione - Fumetti Sovversivi) whose final work is this illustrated collective book. Each artist ideally took to the streets with the young Delfini - an irregular writer, just as the comics that describe him in this book are irregular - accompanying him on that bike ride through the streets of Modena which is a journey in search of himself, of discovery of a world that is changing rapidly and of a piece of history that is part of the collective heritage of the city and the country. Eliana Albertini, one of the most important Italian authors on the contemporary scene, summarizes the original text in the first four tables, thus allowing us, from the subsequent stories, to let ourselves be transported into an imagined world, where colour, magic, dreams and fragments of reality give us an Antonio Delfini – whose thought remains highly relevant – seen through the eyes and pencil of a new generation of artists.
